SouthFibre's strategic intent is to build and lead an integrated industrial hemp value chain.
SouthFibre owns the two foundations of the value chain: genetics and processing technologies. Building on this, the company is increasingly focused on creating innovative brands and distribution channels. Cropping is outsourced to contract growers, and SouthFibre continues to expand this network — exploring collaborative models that keep growers incentivised to grow for, and with, the business.
Extensive industry research in the USA and Canada underpins SouthFibre's approach, supported by established relationships with equipment suppliers, manufacturers, seed genetics owners and other industry participants. The company partners with existing building-material companies for product manufacturing, and is bringing proven technology and value-adding processes to Australia from overseas.

Hemp growing. SouthFibre has taken a substantial position on hemp harvest biomass to ensure sufficient supply for processing at scale. This is also important to develop the grower base that supports continued expansion of production capacity.
Hemp processing. The SouthFibre processing line is currently being commissioned in Central Victoria — the first of a number of hub locations. This facility will be fully operational from September 2026, producing hurd, fibre and fines.
Hemp sales. SouthFibre will supply fibre, hurd and fines to international and Australian markets from September 2026. Initial production will be sold into existing local markets as raw materials for building products, animal bedding, and more. Demand currently outweighs supply.
Once SouthFibre has established initial production capacity, it will look at opportunities to value-add to the primary materials and enhance shareholder returns.
